Understanding Your Choir Music Work Sheet

I wanted to create something simple that would help students better understand the music they were singing. Many students can sing the notes, but they do not always fully understand what they are reading. This handout helps reinforce important skills like:

• identifying the clef

• finding the key signature

• understanding the time signature

• locating “Do,”

• and practicing solfege

I also wanted something that could easily fit into rehearsals as:

• bell work

• score study

• sectionals

• or quick music literacy practice.
