About the Project

In B♭ is a new flexible-instrumentation work designed for developing ensembles. The piece explores minimalist textures, creativity, and ensemble independence in an accessible way, giving young musicians an introduction to contemporary styles while maintaining musical depth.

Consortium Structure

Lead Consortium Member (1 total)

• Premieres the piece

• Receives all benefits of a regular consortium member

• Cost: $100

Regular Consortium Members (4 total)

• Receive a digital copy of the completed score and parts

• Ensemble name listed in the published score

• Slideshow to teach about Minimalist music.

• Includes a virtual rehearsal or Q&A session with Wes (in-person visit possible depending on location)

• Cost: $50 per ensemble
